Who we are

We are the team you need to make your project happen.

Louisa and Clif have worked in event production for decades, bringing experience from many forms including live music, theatre, musicals, opera, dance, film and sport. We think big. We execute ambitious ideas to the highest of standards. We love what we do!

We’ll guide you through the production process from beginning to end. From ideation to technical event production, site operations during the event and post event wrap-up, we’ll be there to make it feel easy.

Meet Louisa Robertson

Whether it’s figuring out how to support a giant floating stage over Sydney Harbour or planning for tides at a beachside opera performance, Louisa Robertson has solved her share of impossible problems.

With more than 25 years in the arts industry, she has the management experience, creativity and grit you need to turn your idea into reality.

Louisa specialises in producing large-scale outdoor events and festivals. She honed these skills over more than a decade at Opera Australia, beginning as founding executive producer on Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour in 2011.

Each year, she oversaw creating a pop-up opera house, staging a spectacular opera performance for more than 50,000 annual visitors. Dealing with bureaucracy, weather events and the creative processes involved in this huge event has given her an unmatched collection of skills and experience she now brings to every project.

She’s equally at home in the small stuff – producing Kalkadoon Man, a documentary following acclaimed Indigenous musician William Barton on his quest to make a traditional digeridoo remains a career highlight. Other highlights include presenting international touring acts and thinkers including Mabou Mines’ acclaimed Dollhouse and Dr Oliver Sacks at the Brisbane Festival.

When she’s not producing, Louisa enjoys attempting to learn a new language and experimenting with artificial intelligence.

Meet Clif Bothwell

Over 30 years in the performing arts industry, Clif Bothwell has scheduled, managed, budgeted, negotiated, developed, implemented, consulted and manufactured for literally hundreds of productions and projects.

That’s the kind of experience you want on your event: a technical director who has done it all, for all kinds of creatives in all kinds of environments. Unflappable and no-nonsense, Clif can (and probably has) solved any problem you can throw at him.

As Technical Director at Opera Australia, Clif led the technical delivery of some of the company’s most difficult and iconic shows. He managed the development and delivery of My Fair Lady, bringing the legacy production into the 21st century, on an impossible timeline with Dame Julie Andrews in the director’s chair.

He is most proud of developing Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour into the event it is today. Clif managed all technical and creative aspects of the event, creating innovative systems and original site design concepts never seen in Australia.

Clif’s project management experience ranges from musical theatre to sporting events and live music tours: overseeing installation, logistics, account management and team leadership.

He began his career as a commercial pilot. In his spare time, you’ll find him in the cockpit or at home with his family or friends.

Meet Mitch Dunn

Whether it’s turning a sketch into a towering festival stage or figuring out how to 3D print a custom set piece, Mitch Dunn thrives on making the impossible possible.

With more than 20 years of experience across opera, live performance, broadcast and large-scale events, Mitch brings a rare blend of creative flair and technical know-how. He specialises in CAD design, site planning, fabrication, and 3D printing – transforming big ideas into buildable realities.

Mitch has led design and fabrication teams at Staging Rentals and ES Group, where he created everything from touring infrastructure to giant sculptural set pieces and robotic carving models. He’s built stages for Oprah and World Youth Day, and helped make music festivals and televised awards ceremonies happen.  As a Technical Director at Opera Australia, he oversaw the technical delivery of productions for Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour including West Side Story and Guys & Dolls.

Mitch is the person you want when there’s no clear path forward. He’s a master of designing new processes, adopting emerging tech, and training teams to do things that haven’t been done before (Ask him about the time he built a 13-tonne, four-storey face for Aida).

Outside the world of stages and steel, you’ll find him surfing, snowboarding or restoring vintage cars.

We love to produce iconic large-scale performances, events and experiences that make people happy.

We do it all with a ‘love what we do’ attitude and always prioritise sustainable business practices. We have extensive experience across all the components of live event production, including creative, technical production and site management. We lean on our wide event networks to provide you with experienced staff, creatives and suppliers, who partner with us to deliver excellence for your project.

We bring everything you need to the table to make your big idea a reality. (We can even help with the big idea.)
