Chippendale, SydneyMind Games: Art Alive is Sydney’s largest and most detailed immersive art and illusion experience – an 11-room, 85+ exhibit playground spanning two levels in Chippendale, bringing together illusion artists, prop makers and perception artists to create a playful, museum-style world that shifts, tricks and surprises at every turn. From a holographic Moon Room to an upside-down train and a hand-built mirror maze, the experience combines large-scale installation art with hands-on interactive design across more than 60 bespoke commissioned works.
Freeflow Projects supported the production with Mitch engaged as Production Manager, working closely with Baeu and the Crea8 team to oversee the design and build of the installation pieces that bring each room to life. Translating ambitious creative concepts into physical, durable, visitor-ready installations – at the scale and level of detail this project demanded – required close collaboration with artists, fabricators and the wider creative team to keep every piece on schedule and true to its original vision.
Freeflow Projects also provided 3D printing services for the opening, with that support continuing on an ongoing basis.
